Chemotherapy treatment is usually given in cycles. The length of each cycle will vary depending on the chemotherapy drugs you will be given.

Each treatment normally lasts a few hours, but it may be longer - a few days, in some cases.

Each cycle of chemotherapy is normally followed by a rest period, to give you a chance to recover and get ready for your next cycle.

You may have several cycles of chemotherapy over a few months.

You are an individual, and your doctor will plan your treatment to meet your exact needs.

Your plan may need to be adjusted from time to time, as your doctor sees how you are responding to treatment and how you tolerate the dose.
