Yes. Your doctor must ask you whether you want to join the trial and must give you written information about it. You will need to consent to treatment before it can go ahead. Your doctor will give you a consent form to sign.

Remember you are free to say no, or to ask for more information before you make up your mind.

If you say no, you will be given the best available standard care.
