You might like to ask...

  • Why am I having radiotherapy?

  • How long will my treatment last?

  • When will my treatment start?

  • Where will I have my treatment?

  • How often will I have to come for treatment sessions? How long will each one last?

Don't be afraid to ask questions!

  • What side effects might I get? Will they be short- or long-term? How can I deal with them?

  • How does radiotherapy compare with other treatment options? Why are you recommending it?

  • Will I still be able to go to work, and do other normal things?

  • What are the chances of the treatment working? When will you know whether it has worked?

  • What will happen if I don't have this treatment?

  • What can I do to help myself, before, during and after treatment?

  • What will happen after my treatment has finished? What follow up appointments will I need?

  • Will I need any more radiotherapy in the future? Will I have any other types of treatment?
