Your own doctors, nurses and others in your health care team are the only people who can tell you about your particular cancer and its treatment.

Breast Cancer Care
This website has a wealth of information on all aspects of breast cancer. Including such subjects as breast self-examination, tests, treatment options, side effects, breast surgery, reconstruction and prostheses, sexuality and fertility, chemotherapy drugs, practical issues, the different types of breast cancer, and male breast cancer. Breast Cancer Care also has a telephone helpline (0808 800 6000).

Macmillan Cancer Backup - Breast cancer
The Macmillan Cancerbackup website covers general information on breast cancer, causes and diagnosis, treatment, clinical trials, resources and support. This information is also available in a booklet (free to patients) direct from Macmillan Cancerbackup or from the Macmillan Cancer Information Centre. The Cancer Backup website also has specific information on the following:

CancerHelp - Breast Cancer
Cancer Research UK has a patient information website called CancerHelp, which has information on a wide number of topics associated with breast cancer.

Breakthrough Breast Cancer

An American cartoonist personal experience of breast cancer, in a comic book style. This book is available to borrow from the Macmillan Cancer Information Centre.

Book - All Woman: Life after breast cancer (ISBN 1842410040) by Tania Farrell Yelland
A book about other's personal experience of breast cancer and its treatment, including a chapter by one of the members of Isle of Man Breast Care. This book is available to borrow from the Macmillan Cancer Information Centre.
