The most usual symptoms are...
- a new cough or a change in a cough (for example, you cough up more phlegm than usual)
- coughing up blood
- chest pain
- a hoarse voice
- a high-pitched sound (called stridor) when you breathe in.
Patients may also have more general symptoms, for example...
- unexplained weight loss
- fever
- loss of appetite
- tiredness
- persistent chest and/or shoulder pain
