It can take several weeks to recover from the effects of surgery, radiotherapy or chemotherapy.

Both during and after treatment, lung cancer patients may have some problems with breathlessness and fatigue. For example, if you have had part or all of a lung removed, breathing may be more difficult afterwards. It depends on the type of surgery you have - your doctor and nurse can tell you more.
