When brushing your teeth, look out for any changes in your mouth.

Please talk to your dentist or doctor about any:

  • ulcers that do not heal within 2-3 weeks
  • pain or discomfort in the mouth
  • red or white patches which last longer than 2-3 weeks
  • a lump or swelling inside your mouth or on your neck
  • difficulty or pain when swallowing
  • noticable changes in your voice, that last longer than 2-3 weeks
  • numbness around your face/mouth
  • unusual bleeding in the mouth

These symptoms could be a sign of mouth cancer, but they could also be caused by other less serious conditions. It is always best to talk to your dentist or doctor if you are worried about any possible symptoms.
