There is no firm evidence that you can prevent ovarian cancer.
Taking the combined contraceptive pill may help. Studies have shown that taking the pill for 10 years cuts the risk of ovarian cancer by a half. As with other drugs, the pill brings its own risks, too. Your GP can give you information and advice.
