The Prostate Cancer Charity
Information about signs and symptoms, diagnosis, treatments, prevention, frequently asked questions etc. This information is also available in a booklet (free to patients) direct from The Prostate Cancer Charity or from the Macmillan Cancer Information Centre. The Prostate Cancer Charity also has specific information on the following:
- Prostate Cancer Toolkit - a folder containing fact sheets giving details on every aspect of prostate cancer, from diagnosis to treatment
- The Prostate Gland: Owners Manual - for every man, to learn about the prostate and what can go wrong with it, including symptoms of prostate cancer and other conditions
- Prostate Cancer: The Works - describes the diagnosis and treatment of prostate cancer. It also covers some of the emotional and social aspects of discovering you have cancer.
- Prostate Cancer: Information for African Caribbean men - explains what the prostate gland is, signs and symptoms to look out for, and how to reduce the risk of developing prostate cancer.
- Your BSL Guide To The Prostate Gland - a video recording giving information about the prostate in British Sign Language. Available via the Prostate Cancer Charity website for people who have a broadband internet connection.
- Men Talk - a CD in which seven men talk about their experience of prostate cancer and its treatment. Available via the Prostate Cancer Charity website for people who have a broadband internet connection.
The Orchid Cancer Appeal
The Orchid Cancer Appeal funds research into the diagnosis, prevention and treatment of prostate and testicular cancer. This site includes information on different topics associated with prostate cancer:
Cancer Backup - Prostate cancer
The Cancerbackup website covers general information on prostate cancer, causes and diagnosis, treatment, clinical trials, resources and support. This information is also available in a booklet (free to patients) direct from Cancerbackup or from the Macmillan Cancer Information Centre.
The Prostate Help Association
Information on prostate cancer and treatments, and on the services offered by the Association (including product discounts and a support network of prostate cancer patients).
Prostate UK
Information on prostate cancer and treatments, news, useful publications etc. Prostate UK have specific publications:

Prostate Cancer Support
Formally known as PSA North of England, provides information and support to men affected by prostate cancer.
Prostate Cancer Research Centre
Formally the Covent Garden Cancer Research Trust. Information on prostate cancer research. They also produce the booklet 'Treating prostate cancer: questions and answers'.
CancerHelp - Prostate Cancer
Cancer Research UK has a patient information website called CancerHelp, which has information on a wide number of topics associated with prostate cancer.
