Your own doctors, nurses and others in your health care team are the only people who can tell you about your particular cancer and its treatment.

    The Prostate Cancer Charity
    Information about signs and symptoms, diagnosis, treatments, prevention, frequently asked questions etc. The Prostate Cancer Charity also has a range of  booklets or fact sheets available direct from The Prostate Cancer Charity or from the Macmillan Cancer Information Centre. Some of the information booklets/factsheets available are:

    • Prostate Cancer Toolkit - a folder containing fact sheets giving details on every aspect of prostate cancer, from diagnosis to treatment
    • Prostate Cancer:  a guide for newly diagnosed men- this booklet is a personal guide for men who have recently been diagnosed with prostate cancer. It has space to record details of diagnosis, treatment options and key contacts
    • Living with Hormone Therapy : aguide for men with prostate cancer - this booklet is for menwho are having hormone therapy for prostate cancer, their partners and families. It describes the different types of hormone therapy, how they work, what the treatment involves and possible side effects.

    The Orchid Cancer Appeal
    The Orchid Cancer Appeal funds research into the diagnosis, prevention and treatment of prostate and testicular cancer. This site includes information on different topics associated with prostate cancer:

    Macmillan Cancer Support - Prostate cancer
    The Macmillan website covers general information on prostate cancer, causes and diagnosis, treatment, clinical trials, resources and support. This information is also available in a booklet from the Macmillan Cancer Information Centre

    The Prostate Help Association
    Information on prostate cancer and treatments, and on the services offered by the Association (including product discounts and a support network of prostate cancer patients).

    Prostate Action 
    Information on prostate cancer and treatments, news, useful publications etc.

    The Prostate Cancer Support Association
    Information on prostate cancer, tests, treatments, complementary/alternative therapies, and support services.

    Prostate Cancer Support
    Formally known as PSA North of England, provides information and support to men affected by prostate cancer.

    Prostate Cancer Research Centre
    Formally the Covent Garden Cancer Research Trust. Information on prostate cancer research.

    CancerHelp - Prostate Cancer
    Cancer Research UK has a patient information website called CancerHelp, which has information on a wide number of topics associated with prostate cancer.
