Where can I get more information?
Your own doctors, nurses and others in your health care team are the only people who can tell you about your particular cancer and its treatment.
The Oncology Nurse Specialist is your point of contact at Noble's Hospital (Telephone 01624 650162).
However, if you would like to read some more general information now, you may find these suggestions helpful...
Cancer Backup - Thyroid cancer
The Cancerbackup website covers general information on thyroid cancer, causes and diagnosis, treatment, clinical trials, resources and support. This information is also available in a booklet (free to patients) direct from Cancerbackup or from the Macmillan Cancer Information Centre.
CancerHelp - Thyroid cancer
Cancer Research UK has a patient information website called CancerHelp, which has information on thyroid cancer.
British Thyroid Association
The British Thyroid Association is an organisation made up of health professionals working with people affected by conditions relating to the thyroid. The website has a section on patient information, including the treatment of thyroid cancer.
