Listed below are the side effects your radiotherapy may cause. Click on a side effect for more information and advice.

Remember that everyone is different. Some people experience more side effects than others do.

If you get some of these side effects, they will normally start by about the second week of your course of treatment. If you are also having chemotherapy, the effects may start earlier and be a bit worse. They tend to last for a few weeks after treatment has finished, and then slowly settle down over the next three or four months.
