Some cancer services are delivered on-island at Noble's Hospital, however the Isle of Man links into the services at Merseyside & Cheshire Cancer Network for some treatment options.
Some cases of melanoma are curable by a simple surgical procedure. Chemotherapy and radiotherapy are rarely used but may be appropriate in certain instances.
Treatment for melanoma may be given in a number of places:
Surgery
This is usually done at Noble's Hospital; sometimes melanoma may have to be treated in specialist units off-Island.
Radiotherapy
This is provided through Clatterbridge Centre for Oncology, on the Wirral.
Chemotherapy
This is usually given in the Oncology Suite, Noble's Hospital.

If cancer can't be cured, medical, nursing and emotional support can be offered at home, in hospital or in Hospice.
