Chemotherapy uses powerful drugs to kill cancer. It is only used when the SCC has spread to other parts of the body.
The drugs are given by injection. They are carried in the blood stream and reach the cancer cells wherever they are in the body. The length of the course of treatment depends on which drugs are being used.
