This section is aimed at supporting the family or friends of the person with cancer once they have died.

Grief and bereavement affect people in different ways - our relationship with the person will have been unique to us; in the same way, how we cope with the loss of the person will be individual. It is important to remember that you are not alone at this time - there are different people and organisations that can be of support.  Some of the organisations that can be of support are listed below. There is also a list of other places where you can read more about grief and bereavement.

Remember, Palliative Care Clinical Nurse Specialists continue to support the family after the person with cancer has died. They will put the family in contact with other sources of support and information.
