If you are interested in volunteering and would like to work within cancer services there are a variety of opportunities you could consider:
- working in the Macmillan Cancer Information Centre - we have volunteers who provide information and support to clients visiting the Centre. This role is part of the Noble's Hospital Volunteer Service, and includes a detailed training programme. - working for the Staywell Clinic - the Staywell Clinic needs volunteer receptionists to welcome people to the clinic and take their appointment details. This service is run by Isle of Man Anti-Cancer Association and operates on a Monday and Thursday evening. - working for LookAhead - this volunteering role involves supporting people affected by hair loss due to chemotherapy. LookAhead operates on a Monday afternoon/evening once a fortnight. For more information, contact the Macmillan Cancer Information Centre on 01624 650735, or click here.
